I am a marketing professional, technical & copywriter and a freelance designer living in Vancouver, BC.
I like to create websites with clean and modern design. I have been in the IT industry since 2003 and I have seen enough websites to know what works, what looks good and what works and looks great. My work focuses on 4 things: aesthetics, simplicity, usability and practicality. I specialize in WordPress.
Over the years, I’ve designed posters, greeting cards, business cards, postcards, product pamphlets, newsletters and event program booklets. Like websites, I like clean and modern designs.
I write. I am a technical & copy- writer for a web hosting company in Vancouver, BC. I also design website templates for a site building company. I am also the owner of a mommy-blog.
I love to travel. I used to be one of those single women travelers. A couple of most memorable solo trips are Austria (Salzburg and Vienna) and Japan (Tokyo and various cities in Hokkaido).
I am a hockey fan and the Vancouver Canucks are my home team. I also like the Penguins and I will cheer for anyone playing against the Boston Bruins (I call it the “Post 2011 Stanley Cup Run Syndrome”). I don’t really have a favorite player, though I have a thing for goalies – I absolutely love the unique designs on each.
I also have a passion for baking. I’ve been baking cakes, tarts, pies, cupcakes, cookies and muffins since I was a little girl. I’ve also picked up batch-cooking (and batch-freezing) in the last year or two – that’s what you do when cooking for a baby/toddler. My little boy will be turning 3 this year.
I am the Print and Designer Manager for the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra (VMO), a non-profit youth training orchestra. I did play the piano growing up, but stopped after 3 years.
